Renowned Indian Lawyer Harish Salve's Third Marriage: A Look at His Illustrious Career and Recent Wedding

Prominent legal figure Harish Salve recently tied the knot with Trina in an opulent wedding ceremony, marking his third marriage. This event comes after his divorce from Meenakshi, his wife of 38 years, in June 2020. The former couple shares two daughters, Sakshi and Saaniya.

The wedding garnered attention from close friends and family, with notable guests such as Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi, and Ujjwala Raut in attendance.

Harish Salve, a 68-year-old advocate practicing at the Supreme Court, is renowned for his involvement in high-profile cases, including his representation of Kulbhushan Jadhav, who faced a death sentence from a Pakistani military court on spying charges. Salve's remarkable gesture of charging only ₹1 in legal fees for Jadhav's defense earned him widespread acclaim.

His client list includes prominent names such as Tata Group, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, and ITC Group. He has also been involved in significant legal battles, including the Krishna Godavari Basin gas dispute against Anil Ambani's Reliance Natural Resources Ltd.

Salve rose to prominence when he argued the first anti-dumping case in India's Supreme Court.

In 2015, Salve took up the defense of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case. Khan, who had initially been sentenced to five years in jail, was acquitted of all charges following the Bombay High Court's decision on December 10, 2015.

Beyond his accomplishments in India, Harish Salve's legal prowess extends internationally. He was appointed as the Queen's Counsel for the courts of Wales and England in January, a testament to his exceptional legal skills.

Salve's journey in the legal profession began with an LL.B. from Nagpur University. He was designated a senior advocate at the Delhi High Court in 1992 before assuming the role of Solicitor General of India from November 1999 to November 2002.

In 2013, Salve was called to Blackstone Chambers and appointed to the English Bar, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most accomplished lawyers in the country.
